The Town of Smithville Board of Aldermen act as the legislative branch of our government, as well as its policy-making body. The board looks to our community's goals, major projects and infrastructure improvements ranging from community growth to land use to finances and strategic planning. The board's goal is to do the very best to represent their constituents after they've seen to the needs of the community as a whole.  The board works in partnership with the mayor to shape policies, adopt ordinances, approve budgets, and represent the interests of our citizens.  

Each board member brings a unique perspective and deep commitment to the well-being of our community.  Together, they ensure that Smithville remains a safe, vibrant, and forward-thinking town rooted in tradition and guided by transparency.

The board meets regularly to discuss town matters, hear from residents, and make decisions that reflect the values and needs of Smithville.  We invite all citizens to stay informed, get involved, and help us continue building a strong future for our town.
