Residents within the Town of Smithville city limits are advised that neither the Town of Smithville nor Monroe County Solid Waste provides pickup services for brush, limbs, or tree trimmings.
Property owners are responsible for the proper disposal of these materials. Burning is permitted only when no burn ban is in effect. Residents who plan to burn must notify Town Hall in advance so the Town is aware in the event of an emergency.
Monroe County Solid Waste will collect certain bulky items such as appliances, furniture, and similar household items; however, Town Hall must be notified to schedule pickup.
