Employee Spotlight ~~ Hank Skinner

The Town of Smithville is excited to spotlight Hank Skinner, one of our newest part-time employees in the Public Works Department, serving as the town’s meter reader. Hank has already become a valued part of the team with his friendly attitude and appreciation for the community he serves.

When asked what song should play when he arrives on the job, Hank chose the classic “Free Bird” by Lynyrd Skynyrd — a fitting soundtrack for a day on the move around town.

One of the best pieces of advice Hank says he’s received on the job is:

“If you ain’t got something nice to say, don’t say nothing.”

After work, Hank enjoys being outdoors and staying busy. Whether it’s working outside or simply enjoying the fresh air, he likes spending his free time active and outdoors.

What Hank loves most about Smithville is:

“The people — the community.”
